In progress

The Gospel Lens

Making Christ the Center of Your Worldview

by Jeffrey L. Thayne

Everyone is already living inside a story about what a good life is and how it goes wrong. Mostly we never notice we chose one, because the story is doing the noticing for us — deciding what counts as a problem, what counts as progress, and what would count as being saved.

This book is about two of those stories. In the expressive one, the self is something already inside you, and the task is to find it and let it out. In the redemptive one, the self is something being made, and the task is to be remade. They sound compatible until you watch them handle the same suffering.
